Human Skull Status

Real Bone Human Skulls have been selling like mad, and we are down to our last few skulls! We are not expecting a new shipment of human skulls for another 3 - 6 months. It is likely that we will run out of human skulls before then. At the moment, our most affordable skulls are in the $400 - $450 price range.

If you are planning to purchase a skull before this summer, now is the time to do it. We have been adding our remaining skulls to our New Skull page on a weekly basis. Go to http://www.boneroom.com/newskulls.htm to see what we have available.

Because of high demand for skulls, we recommend that you call us at 510-526-5252 to order a skull off of our website. We cannot hold skulls to wait for payment, so please have your Visa or Mastercard ready. If you prefer to pay by check or money order, we recommend that you include an alternate skull choice with your order in case your preferred skull has been sold. Printable mail order forms are available at http://www.boneroom.com/order/order1.html

New Bone Clones - Fetal Skull Casts

Among the rarest items sold by The Bone Room are human neonate skulls. We have had a number of these antique specimens over the years, but like most older preparations, they have become harder and harder to acquire. Earlier this year we loaned two of our nicest fetal skulls (one 14-week old, one 20-week old) to Bone Clones, Inc. to serve as models for the production of museum-quality polyurethane casts. Well, we got them back this weeks and the new replicas are beautiful to behold! We will be selling these new casts for $59.00 each.

In the meantime, the original fetal skulls are still available for sale. Please contact us directly for more information.

Website Changes & Additions

It's always a struggle to keep our website up-to-date, as our sprawling inventory seems to change before our very eyes. At this time, we are focusing on an update of the fossil portions of our website. We've just finished bringing our invertebrate fossil page up to speed with our current stock, and hope to move onto vertebrate fossils next.

We recently added a list of our one-of-a-kind animal skeletons articulations to our website. These are some astonishing specimens that we had refrained from putting on our site before because of shipping concerns. But we wanted to share them with you, so we did this anyway and instantly had some of these beauties snapped up by an individual at two nationally known museums.

So before Ron personally drives these beauties halfway across the country, we thought we'd give you a peek at our favorites in the batch. The first is a 55" Gaboon Viper, a massive African viper with the longest fangs of any snake in the world! This animal's fangs measure a full inch in length.

The second is a dwarf caiman - the smallest of the living crocodilians. We are in awe of this articulation - it is the only one we have ever seen that retains the full set of the bony sub-dermal scutes that give crocodilian scales their distinctive look. And did we mention that he's adorable and has a great big smile? And just today he found a new home! If you are interested in seeing more of our one-of-a-kind articulations, please contact us.

Return to eBay

After a long hiatus, we've decided to try our hand at online auctions again. Over the next month or so, we will have a number of auctions running on eBay. These auctions will include human bones, post-cranial animal bones, and a few more fun things that we have around the shop. Our eBay seller ID is evolve40. Go to http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ50QQsassZevolve40 to see our current auctions.
