18th Century Human Skull from the Netherlands
This real human skull originated from the 18th Century Netherlands. It has no mandible and no teeth (13 were lost postmortem, 3 lost antemortem). There are three postmortem holes in the skull: in the parietal, occipital, and left orbital. The skull has deep, earthy patina. Someone wrote 'HS 37 Dordrecht' on the left side of the skull, referring to the city in South Holland.
