Pterodactylus antiquus, one of the very first pterosaurs ever discovered—and a true icon of the Late Jurassic skies! This prehistoric flyer lived about 150 million years ago, soaring over what is now Bavaria, Germany.

Our fossil cast comes from the legendary Solnhofen limestone, a site famous for preserving delicate details like wing membranes and even soft tissue impressions. Pterodactylus wasn’t huge—think more seagull than dragon—but it was a pioneer of flight, with a long beak, sharp teeth, and wings that stretched wide for gliding over ancient lagoons.

Framed cast overall measurements are 12”x9.5”. Ready to hang.
