Hippopotamus Tooth

KO-214

The average hippopotamus grows to a length of 14 feet, stands 5 feet high and can weigh as much as 3.6 tons. They travel in herds of about 40 animals, most often seen in rivers, with only their eyes, ears and nostrils above the surface of the water. Hippopotamuses are vegetarian, feeding on aquatic plants during the day and land plants at night. This authentic Bone Clones replica is an example of one of the huge molars in the rear jaw, used to grind up food.
